New video – Ain’t No Sunshine

With just under a week to go until the new tour kicks off in Germany the excitement in camp Roachford is reaching fever-pitch. So much so, that in the interest of letting off a little steam, Andrew demanded we share a little something with the blog audience. Introducing the video for the new single – a funked up version of Bill Withers’ 1972 hit Ain’t No Sunshine.

With this cover Andrew joins the prestigious ranks of Michael Jackson, Eva Cassidy and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, who’ve all reinterpreted the song in the past. We hope it’s put enough sunshine in your life to tide you over until the new tour, for which booking info is, as ever, on the Gigs page.

  • Went to see Roachford at the Oxford O2 last night. What a great show! Loved the music, the atmosphere and the band were awesome. This is the first time I have seen the band, although I have been listening to them for years, and am gutted that I have waited this long to see them live. Come to Oxford again soon chaps!

  • Hi, Andrew remember going to watch you play live in the Cartoon Pub on London Road South Croydon, back in the day circa 1987, my younger brother Mark was the manager at the time, (Both Liverpudlians) welsh Dave had just left the pub, Stuart was still the owner remember, with his miserable wife! Anyway went to see you in my home town back in 1989 I think at the Liverpool Empire ( Might of been the Royal Court) you were supporting the Christians!! Fantastic night, even got Free tickets on the night because our Mark knew Dougie the Doorman, all the best Buddy πŸ˜‰ Paul Williams ( Mark Williams Eldest Brother)
