  • I think I ‘ll speak for a considerable number in saying the pleasure was all ours.
It was pretty fine seeing you again and the music is sounding fresh and inspirational. Addictive, it is. The Edinburgh show in the voodoo rooms may well be my favourite yet. Which I’ll tell you, is pretty high accolade given you were the first live act I ever saw, back in 1989 at The Barras. We’ve come a long way since those days of nicking off school to pick up vinyl copies of Find Me Another Love (Psycho bump beat mix no less), and Cuddly Toy (X-rated Acid toy mix oh yeah) from Stereo 1 in Paisley. Your voice has become more soulful, more rock, more funky….well, more Roachford (funny that eh). And that sound is fantastic.
Good work fella, please be sure we do see you real soon. Always a pleasure.
    Thank you.

  • Last time I was at a gig was last November I think so really looking forward to seeing you in December at the Jazz Cafe. Love you x

  • Andrew what a fantastic gig you and your guys dished up to us in Edinburgh. I was blown away right at the start with your opener.
I am a life long fan that recognises you as many others do as an extremely gifted artist.
You are a true authentic musical genius and a performing god. That of which cannot be said for the majority of top mainstream pop artists who most of have sold their soul for unimaginable material wealth, to be exploited and owned by their masters in the corrupt corporate sector.
Love the new album! But you cannot be beaten live!
All the best to you and your band from Brian

  • HI Andrew, I just returned home from your gig in Murten, Switzerland. As I said to you when signing the CD there: you are a messenger of joy. It was pure pleasure and something for our hearts. This is when a musical talent from the soul meets honesty and service to the greater whole. Everyone must track him/herself down and develop the jewels within (what everyone of us brought onto earth) and giving the best to humankind and humanity itself. You did and you still do with so much effort and precision and playfulness and the joy of the inner child that we are simply touched. Really touched. Let your songs flow further and further and the energy that brings itself through your work to us, to everywhere. my deepest thanks from my heart. Walter

    • Hallo Walter..

  • It was lovely to meet you and Stephen at your Milton Keynes show, and experience those tunes, old and new, first hand. Good tour. M x

  • saw Andrew and his band in Brighton………….what a fantastic night and am looking forward to seeing them play again……….absolute quality

  • I’ve seen a lot of music – double bill with The Who & The Small Faces in the late 1960s in New Zealand kicked it off – but I’ve rarely if ever seen a performance as consummate as Andrew Roachford’s last night at the Rex Musiktheater in Lorsch.
    Words (almost) fail me.
I recognised his stage presence from the early MTV clips, but I wasn’t prepared for anything as good and as tight.

  • Dear Andrew
I bought “ROACHFORD” back in ’88, loved and still love your music…

  • Hi Andrew!

I wish i stay in your last gig (this year) today. I could not be in London and this was one of my wishes for christmas.
I´m your fan since the begining (1988), and I talked to you several times after two gigs (The spitz- 2006 and Jazz Café -2008) and u always give me good vibrations.
Your songs are part of my life, there is always one of your songs that describe what has happened in my life

Thank u Andrew 4 your music,

I hope to be in the next tour, I love your album addictive, but for me the best is “Permanent shade of Blue”..
    regards from Lugo, Sapin

  • Hey Andrew

Another amazing gig last night at the Jazz Cafe. Second time for me & my husband in 2 months. Nottingham Glee was a fantastic gig but last night we were blown away! You & the band are just amazing & the appearance from Mike was a gorgous moment.
Thanks for signing the set list for me & taking the time to have a pic done. You are a true gentleman.

Take care & all the very best to you & the guys.
Looking forward to the next one

  • Hi Andrew,

We have been fans since buying your first cd and seeing you at Weston-super-Mare over 20 years ago.

My wife plays your tracks constantly on her i-pod dock in the kitchen and would love to see you perform again.

I have been a blues and soul fanatic for over 50 years ( I am 69 years young) and yours is certainly one of the best blues/soul voices I have ever heard. Up there with Paul Rodgers and Stevie Wonder. Music has been the background to my life and I regard you very much as a musicians musician. Highly regarded inside the profession, but (amazingly) not a high profile artiste outside it. Obviously you have a substantial fan base of people who know good music when they hear it.

More news please of any intended tours so I can suprise my wife, Rose, with a lovely present.

    Regards and best wishes,

    Barry (Baz) Philpott

  • Thankyou for a fantastic night out at the Robin 2 in Wolverhampton. You still have one of the best soulful voices in Britain… keep on rocking!!

  • I just rediscovered my scrumdiddlyumptious (am aware not espec. cool word 4 as cooool as Roachford but there is simply no other word for it) `Permanent shade of Blue` album & have been shaking my funky thang around the kitchen & I really need to know, as an often frustrated for good live music ex-pat, here in Vienna, WHEN are you coming to Austria???? I saw you here once before & it was one of the best live concerts I`ve ever seen & I would love to see you again. Am so happy you`re still out there!!!!

Am going back now to my funky thang…………..!

  • Andrew, this is to one of my favorite composer and singer.

I had an heartbreaking evening in Hamburg seeing you and your band and listening to your songs in the HighLive Lounge on top of the roofs of the town. For me it was the second show after the “Reeperbahn Festival” a few years ago and I was blown away again by the exact and crispy sound in combination with your soulful singing.

I was a little proud because I persuaded my friends to join the show as they had no idea what was expecting them. But shortly after the audience kicked away the chairs in front of the stage and began to dance it was clear to everybody – This is Soul and Funk de luxe!

    Thank You Grandmaster Addictive !

    Bino from Hamburg / Reeperbahn

  • Great post however I was wanting to know if you could write a litte more
on this subject? I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further. Thank you!

  • Pretty! This wwas a really wonderful article. Thanks for providing these details.
