New album ‘Addictive’ out 3rd October 2011

Andrew is back with a stunning new album- ‘Addictive’.

This powerfully emotive and soulful album brilliantly showcases Andrew’s unique song writing style that has been described as his edgiest sound to date.

The past five years have seen Andrew writing and singing on everything from top-five selling international dance tracks to co-writing and touring with Mike and the Mechanics. Andrew explains that “Growing up surrounded with Jazz and Soul, and working in the studio with The Clash as a teenager “gave him an incredible grounding in music. I’ve never categorized music, I listen to music that moves me…. and that’s what inspires my writing”.

The ‘Addictive’ album has a truly powerful stripped back sound that few have the raw ability to pull off with such stunning results. Andrew says, “Simplicity is the key”.

Stand out tracks such as ‘Hello Friend’, with it’s honest production and the uplifting ‘I Get High’ with its heart rending lyrics perfectly showcase the sound of an artist on top of his game.

Relationships are a core theme of the ‘Addictive’ album, “This album explores the things I care about most” Andrew explains “Love and people and all the stuff in-between”.

‘Wishing you knew’ is the lead radio track from ‘Addictive’. The release coincides with a UK and European tour that kicks off in October in the UK and sees Andrew Roachford on the road – a truly unique and electrifying performer and artist.

We’ll be adding clips from the album to the website very soon.

  • Hi I saw you at the Glee Club in Birmingham and you and your band were brilliant!! You are still one of the best singers/musician around. Take care…

  • Saw the Edinburgh concert and was blown away by Andrew and the band. What a voice, amazing back catalogue, and a stunning sound from just two guitars, drum set and a keyboard. From start to finish it was awesome, very small venue with the crowd clapping and singing with gusto when asked. X factor et al take note, this is what genuine talent sounds like. Roachford should be as big as Michael Jackson (alive obviously, and not as unstable).

  • Love the Addicted album (thanks for signing it) every song a winner, Cardiff gig was awesome looking forward to seeing you again next year.
    Broughty Ferry Pat

  • Saw the last song of the last UK tour gig, in Nottingham. Only about 60 there. How can he be that good for 20 years and avoid becoming steller? But would we want to see him in the likes of the O2 arena in Nottingham (aka the Ice Stadium). Andrew played for 2 hours plus and didn’t want to leave the stage – and nobody wanted it to end except the Glee club management whose staff have a home to go to!!

    It was brilliant

  • Konzert in Graz – Großartige Musiker !

    Tolles Konzert und Feeling!

    Vielen Dank !!

    Arthur & Familie

  • Hey Andrew, Steven, Raouuul and Hendrik!

Thanks a lot for the fantastic gig in Bad Sazuflen. My girlfriend and me really enjoyed this very personal evening.

One highlight (of many) was “innocent eyes” – good old stuff that touched my soul!

I hope you’ll be touring again in Germany soon. Take care!

  • Great, great night in Glasgow! Roachford and the band were totally amazing as usual, live music just does’nt get better than this. Lay off the burgers Andrew and Steven, we need you fit and well to play and sing to us forever, and come back to Scotland as soon as you can.
