With just under a week to go until the new tour kicks off in Germany the excitement in camp Roachford is reaching fever-pitch. So much so, that in the interest of letting off a little steam, Andrew demanded we share a little something with the blog audience. Introducing the video for the new single – a funked up version of Bill Withers’ 1972 hit Ain’t No Sunshine.
With this cover Andrew joins the prestigious ranks of Michael Jackson, Eva Cassidy and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, who’ve all reinterpreted the song in the past. We hope it’s put enough sunshine in your life to tide you over until the new tour, for which booking info is, as ever, on the Gigs page.
It’s been a packed summer touring with Mike and the Mechanics with still some dates to round off the year before group are smashing 2015 with their “The Hits Tour” – it’s looking to be a treat.
Even with a packed schedule with Mike and the Mechanics, Andrew found space to do his own work and had a great time with the Studio Live Sessions earlier this month – performing and recording to tape in Liechtenstein at Little Big Beat Studios in front of a live audience. Check out this great teaser trailer of the Studio Live Sessions:

What a great warm up for the next few coming months. As always Andrew will be working away with some great Gigs in both the UK and in Germany – August through to November.
If this has wet your appetite and you’re hungry for some Jazz this weekend why not catch Andrew for his next show – it’s proving a hot ticket with some great dining and great jazz this Sunday at Tongue and Groove Presents.
Andrew can’t wait – and neither can we.
Hope to see you there!
